Modelling of hydrodynamic and solute transport with consideration of the release of low-level radioactive substances

Abstract. When nuclear power plants are dismantled, only a small portion is heavily contaminated with radioactivity and must be stored in repository. The remaining material, mainly concrete rubble (construction waste), decontaminated if necessary can conventional surface landfills after clearance. focus of this work on the modelling such radioactive substances during raining events. influence heterogeneous nature construction should also investigated. simulation environment DuMux, developed by our institute, used to compare different approaches.
